IP Costa and ATU delegates join unions, and activists at the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) Convention in Toronto

International President John Costa and a strong contingent of ATU delegates joined over a thousand workers, unions, and activists at the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) Convention in Toronto, Canada. Together, Costa and the ATU delegation stood united in the fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and a future where the rights of working people come first.

At the convention, delegates discussed issues impacting workers, shared strategies to strengthen our collective voice, and made powerful connections with fellow unions from across Ontario and beyond.

“The fight for fairness doesn’t stop at the border. It extends to every corner of every workplace,” Costa told the delegation. “I’m here today to push for a future where working people in this province aren’t just heard, they’re valued.” From advocating for workers’ rights to pushing for meaningful change, Costa reminded us that now, more than ever, solidarity is the key. Costa was also able to personally congratulate Laura Walton on being reelected President of the OFL for another term.

Here’s to the ongoing work ahead, building a better future for transit workers and all working people in Ontario. Stay tuned for more from the OFL.
