IP Costa Attends New England Joint Conference (NEJC) meeting in Mystic, CT

This weekend, International President John Costa was proud to join Local leaders from across New England and the Northeast at the New England Joint Conference (NEJC) meeting in Mystic, Connecticut, where members came together to speak honestly about what’s happening on the job, share solutions, and remind each other that no Local stands alone.

“From big cities to small towns, from bus garages to rail yards, New England has always been built by working people, and this meeting is about keeping that tradition alive,” said Costa. “When we come together like this, we’re building power. No corporation, no politician, and no anti-worker agenda can stop us when we stand united.” Costa also gave an impressive rundown of all the work being done across New England and at the International on behalf of our members.

Attendees also received dynamic training from ATU International staff on the dangers posed by AI implementation in our industry, as well as health and safety updates from New England Locals.

Joining Costa at the NEJC were International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo and International Vice Presidents Steve Macdougall, Jacques Chapman, and Mark Henry. Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke out, and proved once again that solidarity is how we live and fight.
