Today, International President Costa joined our Local 113-Toronto, ON, President/Business Agent Marvin Alfred for the Local’s United to Win campaign training facilitated by ATU International staff around their upcoming contract with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). “I’m here in Canada to let you all know that the ATU International has your back!” said Costa. “We don’t want to go on strike here in Toronto, but we need a contract that you deserve, which means you’re able to afford to live where you work. We’ll be with you every step of the way.”
Costa was joined at the training by ATU Canada President John Di Nino, and International Vice Presidents Jim Lindsay, John Callahan, Curtis Howard, Ray Greaves, and Art Aguilar, and ATU staff who also addressed the members.
Before the powerful 113 training, IP Costa, IVP Callahan, and President Di Nino had the opportunity to visit Local 1573-Brampton, ON, President/Business Agent Andrew Salabie and Financial Secretary John Zahreddine at their union hall where they talked about the issues affecting our Local members in Brampton.
