Over the past two days at the AFL-CIO in Washington, D.C., ATU International President John Costa attended the AFL-CIO Executive Council Meeting, where labor leaders discussed the upcoming election and welcomed the most Pro-Union President in American history back to the House of Labor to reaffirm their support.

Following President Biden's visit, Costa and his fellow Executive Council members have had intensive and productive discussions on Labor initiatives and policies that will benefit all workers moving forward, including Labor’s political action and mobilization campaign for the upcoming critical election in November. When workers unite, they gain a powerful and effective voice in the workplace—it’s better in a Union.
Additionally, the Executive Council voiced its concerns about recent Supreme Court decisions and the right-wing Project 2025 and their impacts on the Labor Movement, working families, and the United States.

Among those joining Costa at the meeting were AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, AFL-CIO Vice President Fred Redmond, and other leaders within the labor movement.
