IP John Costa attended an ATU Florida State Legislative Conference Board meeting

This evening, International President John Costa attended an ATU Florida State Legislative Conference Board meeting with Locals from across the state to discuss important political and legislative issues impacting our members and Locals. Costa thanked the Locals for their leadership and led a discussion on our fightback campaign concerning Florida’s union-busting SB 256 including our efforts on amendments to the legislation. The Locals and ATU staff provided updates on our efforts on the ground, legal updates, and other actions.
The Local leaders also talked about an apprenticeship training academy they are attending this week in Tampa to develop workforce development programs to help our members advance their careers.

Joining Costa along with staff and the Local leaders was International Vice President Curtis Howard. As the SB 256 battle continues, our Union and our Florida Locals will not back down and continue their great work.
