Yesterday, International Secretary-Treasurer Ken Kirk and ATU New Jersey State Joint Council Chair Orlando Riley had the honor to represent our Union at the White House Black History Month’s Black Labor Leaders Roundtable. Kirk and Riley spoke about our Union’s efforts to fight for equality, justice, and the rights of Black workers in the transit industry. The event attended by Senior Advisor to the President Tom Perez and Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su spotlighted Black labor leaders who are at the leading edge in their unions and within the labor movement working to expand organizing efforts, advance equity, and increase access to the benefits unionization provides. #Blackhistorymonth2024
