International President John Costa and International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV

Today in Las Vegas, NV, International President John Costa and International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest and most influential tech event, which attracted over 130,000 attendees. The event brought together leaders from all sectors, including labor, to explore the future of innovation and its impact on workers.

As part of their visit, Costa and Trujillo took part in a curated CES tour, where they explored cutting-edge technologies such as Autonomous Vehicles (AV) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which will impact our member’s jobs. We are at a critical point in our history. A vast majority of workers are afraid AI will replace them. The labor movement and the ATU will play a crucial role in ensuring that technology serves the interests of working people. While AI and other innovations present both challenges and opportunities, one thing is clear: the ATU will not be left behind. We will continue to stay at the forefront of these technologies.
