The ATU General Executive Board (GEB) was in Hollywood, FL, this week to hold their Fall Meeting. International President John Costa chaired the spirited and productive meeting thanking the members of the GEB for their leadership, our Locals and our members for their commitment to our Union and our communities. He also discussed how our Union and members have persevered with major contract wins, organizing campaigns, legislative victories, protections for our members, and other issues and challenges. The GEB reviewed the ATU’s successes and chartered a course for the future. From organizing to our apprenticeship programs to contract fights, and successful strikes, and politics, the GEB members heard about the extraordinary work being done on behalf of our members every day on the ground.
The GEB had the opportunity to meet with our leaders and members from our Locals from across Florida to discuss the issues and challenges they are facing including our SB 256 fightback campaign.
The GEB also recognized retired International Vice President Janis Borchardt and International Vice President Richie Murphy, who will retire on October 31, for their years of leadership and dedication to our Union and commitment to improving the lives of countless members and their families. #ATUStrongerTogether
