PA Joint Conference Board lobbies to get passage of SB 977 to make assaults on transit workers a felony

With the growing epidemic of violent attacks on our members across the Keystone state, this week, the ATU Pennsylvania Joint Conference Board members joined together in Harrisburg, PA to promote the passage of SB 977 which will make assaults on transit workers a felony. Thanks to their work, the bill passed through the Senate and is now in the House. We thank Governor Josh Shapiro, Lt. Governor Austin Davis, son of one of our Local 85-Pittsburgh, PA, members, Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton, and other state legislators for their support on this important bill and meeting with our state delegation.
