Today, our Local 1287-Kansas City members, joined with the Kansas City AFL-CIO, Sunrise Movement KC, Stand Up KC, KC Jobs with Justice, and other transit allies to rally outside City Hall in Kansas City, MO, to support a “Yes” vote on Question 1 to continue funding to ensure Kansas City has a robust, reliable, and affordable bus system.
If Question 1 is not passed, 30% of bus routes will be cut, and our members will lose their jobs.
Our members are also phone banking on this important ballot initiative and will continue to be out in force in the days leading up to next Tuesday’s election.
